How many fun stories start out “this one night in a bar…”? Probably too many to count, but this one ends differently than you may imagine. One night, while out for a friend’s birthday, a local jeweler friend and I started chatting about how we wanted this holiday to be a celebration. How we were both planning collections that we were so proud of, and how we wanted to plan an event to share them with our friends and family. You guys may know this jeweler, Nicole of NikDreamer.  This chit chat over a glass of wine stuck with us both, and a month later we had planned our launch party. Immediately, we knew the location we wanted to host it at. Retail Therapy is a cute local boutique that has a wonderful side room (available to rent for meetings, events, even dance classes). I had hosted an event there in the fall, and knew it was perfect for our party.

We invited family and friends, clients and some local bloggers (see the lovely Lindsey of TheNomisNiche in the above right pic) to come to see the debut of our new jewels.

The evening was magical. We had twinkle lights and crystals, yummy sweets and sips and it was a party. A magician even stopped by to spontaneously entertain us with his tricks. (I am sure Nicole snapped some fun pics of this while it was happening, head on over to her blog soon for more details.)

In addition to this, we had photographer Payton Altman come by and snap our photos so we could share the evening with those not able to attend. She did a great job capturing the vibe of the place as you can see here. Be prepared to see some more pictures from her next week, as I will be delving deeper into the inspiration behind this collection and the creation of these gems.

We were also lucky enough to have a guest drop by, Marianne Tanada (@thefashclass) who took amazing photos for blogger Graciela (@dizzyspangle). Below are just a few of the beautiful shots she shared. You can see so much more, and get a peak behind the inspiration for the collection on Graciella’s blog post here.

Overall, we had a wonderful turnout, spent time with friends new and old, and finished the night energized for the upcoming season. Thank you to all who came out and supported us on this special evening. You are why I am so passionate about what I do.
