Vegas Nights

This past Saturday I had a great opportunity to be part of the Chopper Con event at Backstage Bar and Billiards, hosted by Douche LaRouche and celebrating their 10 years. While this may not seem like the place an aspiring jewelry designer would be found, I was happy to be there. I have had incredible support in the local bike and tattoo scene here in Vegas. I love seeing my work styled in such a raw and rad way. One of my closest friends here (and lovely model for photoshoots) has introduced me to so many talented and genuine people, and I was excited to be a part of the party.

All week long I was making items to sell; shows can be tricky, all the foot traffic in the world won’t do any good if you don’t have the right items in place. I decided to bring an assortment of my classic styles and some of my new fall collection. I also brought a tray of crystals to sell, who knows? This was also the show at which I debuted my ring collection!

Jehnna and I shared a booth, her hand-sewn headbands are the cutest and make a great compliment to my jewelry. Despite being placed towards the back (and way too close to the trash cans, pew!) I think we had a pretty good booth. It turns out, it is also super fun to hang out with a good friend while setting up and selling. If no customers, at least we can have a good time. My husband also came along to help, and setup was a breeze with all those hands!  I am looking forward to sharing a booth with Jehnna again (Nov 14th in the Arts district for all you Vegas locals).

The best part of the evening? I met so many wonderful people! That is really the joy of doing live shows. I love to connect with my customer, see them try on and find just the right piece and walk away happy. I met some customers who also produce jewelry of a different kind, and made new connections there as well. It’s also a privilege to connect with other vendors and get tips and share advice. For everyone who came out and supported, thank you so much!
