June is such an exciting month for me as a small business owner. I am coming up on my one year anniversary of jumping into this crazy path as my full time commitment. Maybe that is what has pushed me a bit to make a few changes I have had in my mind for awhile now. One of those changes is about to come to fruition.

If you have been following this blog for awhile, you know that one of my three business goals this year was to convert this website to a self contained, all access way to shop Desert Daisy. For me to do that, I would need to wean myself off etsy and create a shopping cart within the page, which means as a customer of mine, you will never be bounced to a third party website to complete the purchase. For a girl like me with minimal experience designing a shopping cart, it has been a bit daunting to attempt this task, but I am happy to say I have it under way. By the end of June (at the latest!) the shop will be open and updated, and my etsy shop will be put on hold for special flash sale events only (make sure you follow me on instagram, or sign up for my email list so you don’t miss those). Luckily my website host makes it super easy to create just the shop I am looking to have; easily shoppable categories, drop down selection for customizable items, and a secure SSL checkout to protect purchases made online. Above you will see a sneak peak of the storefront as it will appear when live.  Also, I am so happy to announce a new way to shop your favorite hairsticks. With the launch of this new shop, I will be offering a drop down so you as the customer are guaranteed to get just the perfect hairstick. You will have your choice of leather color (starting with 5 colors, and one Vegan leather option as well), wood stain color, and my most popular crystal options. These will be available in both the 6 inch and the 9 inch length, so all my hairdresser friends out there, you will be able to customize yours too! For a limited time, these create your own will be on sale too. I’m thrilled to be able to offer them to you all!

And for any of my wholesale clients (or those interested in becoming wholesale clients), I have added a new resource to the shop. There is now a tab dedicated to the most up to date wholesale catalog and order forms. Here, you can view and download info on how to place an order, an artist bio to use to train your staff, and a complete list of terms of sale. This is up and available immediately, but it is password protected for the privacy of my wholesalers.  If you are currently an active stockist, I will be emailing you your invites to view the page this week, and if you are new and interested in checking out the options I have for wholesale, please request entry in the registration form, or send me an email in the contact tab. My goal with this is to make it easy for all the wonderful shops who carry my designs to keep in touch with ordering the latest products and to try and be as paperless as possible.
